Warriors coach Steve Kerr expressed his dissatisfaction not only with the on-court developments but also with the off-court atmosphere during the team’s 123-115 road loss to the Phoenix Suns on Wednesday night.
As reported by ABC7 News, Kerr visibly displeased with various aspects ranging from fouls to officiating and Chris Paul’s ejection, pointed out another non-basketball-related issue that bothered him.
“In this building, you can’t hear anything because it’s like a club, it’s like a South Beach club out there,” Kerr remarked to reporters post-game. The comment was met with nervous laughter, but Kerr emphasized that he was genuinely frustrated, saying, “I’m being dead serious. I couldn’t hear anything out there. The whole game is just thumping, techno club music. Can we just have a basketball game anymore? What the hell?”
The auditory distraction wasn’t the only challenge at Footprint Center that evening. Chris Paul’s return to Phoenix turned out to be short-lived as the veteran point guard was ejected just before halftime for a foul on Kevin Durant. Kerr also received a technical foul amid the chaos.
Despite a late comeback attempt, the Warriors fell short, bringing their season record to 7-9 and placing them 11th in the Western Conference.”
