At the helm during Red Bull’s historic 2023 run, Horner witnessed the team’s dominance in the F1 circuit, clinching 21 victories out of 22 races, with Max Verstappen capturing his third world championship. Horner, 50, has firmly refuted these claims.
The specifics of the complaint remain undisclosed by Red Bull; however, insider information obtained by BBC Sport suggests the allegations involve claims of inappropriate and controlling behavior.
In response to the allegations, Red Bull released a statement affirming the commencement of an independent review by an external legal expert, underscoring the organization’s commitment to thorough and swift resolution of the matter. The company has chosen to withhold further comments until the investigation’s conclusion.
When confronted with these allegations by the Dutch newspaper De Telegraaf, Horner responded, “I completely deny these claims.”
Since Red Bull’s entry into F1 racing in 2005, Horner has been a pivotal figure, steering the team to multiple championship victories. Recognized for his contributions to the sport, Horner was honored with a CBE in the recent New Year’s Honours list, following an OBE in 2013.
