In Sioux City, Iowa, Jessica Bino and her mother, Angela Bino, were arrested in connection with the death of a woman found in their apartment complex parking lot. Authorities identified the deceased as Suzzette Occhibone, the grandmother of Jessica.
According to court records cited by KTIV, all three women shared an apartment at 607 Virginia St. On the evening in question, an altercation reportedly erupted between Jessica and her grandmother, with Angela joining in shortly after.
Court documents reveal that during the heated argument, both women assaulted Occhibone, using objects including a glass candlestick and a hammer. At some point, Jessica allegedly also fetched a butcher knife from the kitchen, according to the news station.
Witnesses reported seeing Jessica dragging the victim’s body towards the parking lot around midnight, possibly attempting to place it in a car trunk. Upon arrival, police officers discovered Occhibone’s body and declared her dead at the scene.
Both Jessica and Angela were apprehended in their apartment where evidence of the crime was allegedly found. They face charges of first-degree murder and are currently detained with bail set at $500,000 each.
