A fifth victim, an adult male, was also found after the house fire; he has yet to be identified. A mother and her three children were killed in a house fire in Pennsylvania last week, and the community is in mourning.
According to NBC affiliate WFMJ, The Herald, and KDKA, Mercer County Coroner John Libonati identified four of the five victims as Elizabeth Seltzer, 33, and her children: son Jordan, 1, and daughters Ainsley, 3, and Paisley, 6.
According to WFMJ, Libonati identified the four victims using medical, dental, and x-ray records. After digging through the debris, emergency personnel found one of the children who had been reported missing.
An adult male victim was also found. According to WFMJ The Herald and KDKA, he has not been identified because medical records from another state are pending.
The cause of death for the family will be determined in three weeks, according to WFMJ. The State Fire Marshal has yet to determine what caused the fire. The Mercer County Coroner did not immediately respond to a request for comment from PEOPLE.
A GoFundMe page has been set up to help Elizabeth and her children with their funeral expenses. Sharing a photo of the four smiling together, the campaign said the mother of three “was an amazing human being who loved with her whole heart, and thought nothing of dropping everything she was doing to help her family when they needed her, even when they didn’t know they needed her.”
The campaign’s $36,000 goal has been met. According to Fredonia Volunteer Fire Department Chief Dan McBride, firefighters were called to a farmhouse in Delaware Township around midnight last Thursday.
According to McBride, a dozen fire departments arrived on the scene, along with Pennsylvania State Police and Life Force ambulances. The fire took nearly four hours to extinguish, and the street was closed until Friday evening.
