In a startling incident on Wednesday morning, Donald Trump Jr.’s X account was evidently hacked. Deceptive tweets were posted from the account, falsely announcing the death of his father, former President Donald Trump, and suggesting that he, Donald Trump Jr., would be running for the presidency in 2024. Another tweet crudely addressed President Joe Biden.
Screenshots captured by Dataminr and several X users display the fraudulent message, which read: “I’m sad to announce, that my father Donald Trump has passed away. I will be running for president in 2024.” The tweet was promptly removed.

However, it was swiftly clarified by various sources that former President Donald Trump is alive and in good health. Furthermore, the former president posted a message on Truth Social, addressing a different subject, without alluding to the erroneous tweets from his son’s account.
Trump’s post on Truth Social read, “If I would have made that speech yesterday at the United Nations, for all of the World to see, including the HORRENDOUS delivery, I would have been run out of politics! An EMBARRASSMENT to our Country.”
Among the string of misleading posts from Donald Trump Jr.’s account was another outlandish claim about taking on the SEC once he assumes the presidential role.
